Job Description

We are specifically looking for candidates with experience as Resident Engineer, Construction Manager, Project Manager or related role to provide services for projects pertaining to dams, reservoirs, levees, and/or related project types for projects in Irvine, CA.

Candidates must demonstrate a first-rate work ethic, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. In addition to technical acumen, MCK strives to hire those who can express MCK’s culture on the job site positively so candidates with good character traits are a must. 

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Overall project leadership

  • Managing the project construction contracts as the Client representative

  • Administering the construction contract

  • Implementing quality plans to assure all construction work is completed in conformance to the Contract Documents

  • Implement environmental compliance requirements and procedures

  • Manage schedules, costs, and change orders

  • Assist with Public Outreach efforts

  • Maintain all construction documentation and records

  • Be the prime point of contact between the Contractor and the Client and external stakeholders Direct the performance of the project CM team and ensures conformance to established policies and procedures for the management of the project

  • Implement quality plans for adherence of construction work completed according to contract documents 

  • Manages submittals, RFI’s and change orders 

  • Various other responsibilities applicable to project

General Requirements/Qualifications

  • 10+ years providing construction management services for complex projects or programs including dams, reservoirs, levees and other relevant water project particularly in lead role 

  • A baccalaureate degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited institution

  • Past experience working for General Contractor is preferred

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California is preferred

  • Certification as a Certified Construction Manager and/or Project Management Professional is a plus. 

  • 3+ years using CM software is preferred 

  • Accreditations, Certifications, and/or relevant licenses is preferred
